11 Days of Global Unity
A Season of Interfaith Celebration
Sept. 11 - 21, 2008

We will be joining hundreds of thousands of people around the world for 11 Days of Global Unity: A Season of Interfaith Celebration beginning Thursday, September 11 with the 15th annual Unity World Day of Prayer and concluding Sunday, September 21 with the 27th annual International Day of Peace. This year’s theme is "CELEBRATING ONENESS, HEALING THE WORLD"

It is our tradition to participate in World Day of Prayer each year by holding a 12-hour prayer vigil in our sanctuary. The Chaplains and Lay Ministers hold sacred prayer space, while reading the names on the prayer lists that each of us has had an opportunity to create.

This year Unity, the Association of Unity Churches International, and the Association for Global New Thought will join in a worldwide celebration of oneness with hundreds of organizations collaborating under the umbrella We, The World.

The purpose is to unite as many people as possible in prayer and other activities that promote and help create peace in the world. One of the events which will fall in the middle of this 11-day celebration is Friendship Sun- day on September 14. This will be a special time for us to celebrate with love and gratitude the people in our lives we call friend.

Throughout the eleven days there will be a variety of activities that each of us can participate in to celebrate our oneness. Please watch the Sunday Highlights for more information.

Join us for an afternoon of great food, fun and fellowship! Bring your own meat to BBQ (if you wish), a side dish to share, plates and eating utensils.

Drinks will be provided. There is limited park- ing, so please carpool.
